As the title says, this is my goals that I want to achieve come new years eve this year. However, looking at the date I’m writing this I’m going to have to get my skates on! As if we are over halfway through January already!
Since leaving education 6 years ago this year, I don’t find myself learning new things anymore. I’ve definitely some new things since then, I applied for my job without having any prior experience and had to learn everything on the job; even with that now I feel I’ve hit a wall and don’t seem to be progressing anywhere with that. So this year I’ve put learning at the top of my priorities.
Learn Another Language
I’ve recently come back from a holiday in Mexico where the main language spoken is Spanish. This is the language which I learnt at school and clearly I know a lot more than I first thought. Speaking the pleasantries for me in a foreign country is a must and I will always learn how to say my pleases and thank yous and a friendly hello. My recent holiday made me realise just how much Spanish I actually do know and I really would like to keep on top of this and feel comfortable having a conversation in Spanish by the end of the year.
Learn to play the Piano
This was actually something I started the back end of last year after receiving a Keyboard for my birthday. I’ve always had a slight musical talent and growing up I played the Flute and Saxophone. My mother is extremely talented when it comes to playing the Piano and when I was younger gave me piano lessons but I was young and would rather have been playing outside (sorry mum, really wish I’d of stayed in now). So I’m taking myself back to remembering how to read music and work hard and making my left hand and right hand work seperately.
I think the world is going fitness crazy and I mean that in the best way. Most people are more conscious about what they are putting into their body and are well aware when we’re not being healthy. So it’s no surprise that there are some fitness goals on my list for 2019.
I’m comfortable with my weight but everyone has bits here and there that they aren’t happy with and I am no exception to this. I’d really like to tone up this year and feel 100% comfortable in my skin without feeling conscious that I have thunder thighs chafing holes into my jeans.
This again has being spurred on by my recent trip to Mexico. We went to a nightclub show called Coco Bongo which for anyone who is visiting Mexico I highly recommend! All the dancers were insane and I felt so inspired, they made doing the splits look so easy and I want to be able to do them. So my goal here is to enter 2020 performing a drop split.
I will no doubt have more things that spring up throughout the year but these for now are my main goals of the year and I’ll be content looking back if I achieve these.
